Cool Hoops Camp

Cool Hoops Camp is designed to give players early exposure before the season gets underway through a combination of live games and on-court teaching. Athletes will learn what college coaches look for in the future—basketball IQ, spacing, decision-making, effort, and how to compete the right way in game-real situations.

Coach Expectations & Scheduling Priorities

Pressing is not allowed once a team leads by 20 or more points at any time. When this occurs, all full-court pressure must stop and defenses must drop back inside the half court. This rule remains in effect until the margin drops below 20. Violations result in a warning, then a technical foul.

If a team leads by 20+ points at halftime, the winning coach must choose one mandatory mercy adjustment before the second half begins: reset the score to 0–0, or spot the trailing team 10 points. The decision is final and must be declared before halftime ends.

Our goal is to get teams in and out on the same day whenever possible. Saturday schedules fill first with priority to 12U–14U divisions. Older age groups may play on Friday or Sunday, though games are typically scheduled within the same general time window.
